"The project focuses on sports photography, more concretely in volleyball. As I am a sports fan but I haven’t played volleyball in years and I like photography, but I have never photographed sports before, I decided to take the challenge anyway, and move to the beautiful region of Maramures in Romania, to participate in this new and exciting project"

Azer

Period: September 2019 - May 2020

"This project that I have been volunteering in has different kind of positive aspects. We create workshops, sport events, meet different people. One of these positive aspects is going to schools and making sport activities there. I like it that I can be creative in my work."

Alejandro

From: Spain

Support organisation: Mundus

Period: September 2019 - May 2020

"We started sport activities in an high school helping in physical education classes, preparing activities related to volleyball and other sports. Then we went to different schools in which we would prepare activities for younger children. It is very nice to work with children, since you can see the purity, the desire to learn and enjoy that they have when it comes to interacting with us."

Ana

From: Spain

Support organisation: ESN Valencia

Period: February - October 2020

"From the beginning everything was shown as an adventure to a new destination and a new place to adapt to. Being new to this team is just the beginning.  Working together means winning as a team. So everyday is a new game to win..."

Viorela

From: Romania

Support organisation: Yellow Shirts

Period: September 2019 - September 2020

"I have always stayed active (even played basketball and volleyball in high school), so the idea of being part of the sports department sounds appealing. Moreover, being on the other side of the table is going to be really interesting because I have always been curious about how big sport events are actually being organized."

Andreea

From: Romania

Support organisation: Yellow Shirts

Period: September 2019 - September 2020

"I've been waiting for this opportunity for, perhaps, way too long and now here I am: joining forces to create sport events, promoting active movement and the healthy lifestyle, raising the popularity of volleyball around Europe while exploring the volunteering opportunity. A journey of mind, soul and body development begins with a first daring step: accepting challenges."
